Click HERE for a brief summary of each of the ingredients:

Organic Dandelion root (Taraxcacum officinale) is a diuretic that restores minerals to the body. Dandelion root, leaf, and flower are superbly nutritious. It is an excellent liver tonic, higher in vitamin A than carrots and higher in calcium than spinach. It enhances the liver's ability to metabolize hormones, mitigating hot flashes and night sweats. Dandelion lowers blood pressure and cholesterol.

Organic Milk Thistle Seed (Silybum marianum) regenerates damaged liver tissue, reduces liver and spleen inflammation, and normalizes liver and immune functions. It is indicated in cases of cirrhosis and elevated liver enzymes. It is reported to be the most efficacious herb for acute liver disease.

Organic Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is the spice that gives Indian curry its fabulous golden hue. It is used as an anti-inflammatory and protects against and reverses liver damage. It is anti-dyspeptic, lowers cholesterol, and reduces production of gallstones. Turmeric increased bile production, stimulates interferon (an anti-viral protein), and prevents the formation of tumors.

Organic Astragalus (Astragalus membranaceous) is an immuno-regulator. It works at the cellular level, increasing the number of stem cells, producing interferon, and rebuilding the bone marrow reserve. Astragalus is hepatoprotective and angihepatotoxic.

Organic Spirulina (Spirulina platensis), although considered an algae, is a spiraled cyanobacteria, and one of the oldest life forms on the earth. It was a basic food of the Mayan and Aztec Indians. It is an antioxidant, immune enhancer, tumor inhibitor, general tonic and detoxifier. it aids thyroid function and provides the amino acids needed for glutathione production (an enzyme which protects the liver from toxins).

Organic Eleuthero (Eleutherococcus senticoccus) has been called Siberian Ginseng, although it is not a true ginseng. It is a first-class adaptogen - meaning that it strengthens all body systems and, in particular, soothes the adrenals. It is an anti-stressor, immune potentiator, antidepressant, and mental clarity stimulant. Eleuthero protects the liver and stimulates liver regeneration.

Organic Burdock (Articum lappa) is used to restore the whole body to a balanced state of health. It is said to be especially effective for nourishing the liver, lymph system, and kidneys. It eases many symptoms of hepatitis, such as itching, eczema, dandruff, psoriasis, dry skin, and increased cholesterol.

Organic Ashwaganda (Withania somnifera) is a strong immune tonic and antistressor. It is a nervine sedative and reduces joint pain. It is reportedly antibacterial, anti-yeast, antifungal, anti-amoebic, anti-malerial, and antiviral.

Organic Chlorella from Taiwan (Chlorella pyrendoidosa) is a one-celled green algae that grows in ponds and lakes. The cell wall is broken during processing so that chlorella may be ingested as a food. It is a potent nutrient, and immune stimulant, anti-viral, and anti-tumor. Chlorella has been found to help with memory loss, depression, and low energy. It is said to speed wound healing time.

Organic Bladderwrack (Fucus vesiculosus) is a seaweed with an amazing name. It the main food for balancing thyroid function, a gland particularly affected by stress - such as hepatitis. Bladderwrack improves lymphatic function, helps remove or chelate toxic substances from the body, and relieves nausea.

Organic Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) is an antistressor, immune system stimulant, adrenal tonic, thymus tonic, anti-viral, and anti-inflammatory. It stimulates interferon production and is hepatoprotective. It potentiates the actions of other herbs (that is, helps them all work together). Licorice is contraindicated in cases of hypertension or pregnancy - although the side effects seem to be limited to extracts, not the whole root.
