 Dear Friends,

Many Herbal Blessings as we continue on pathways of robust health. My name is Mary Evans-Peterson, and we (my husband, Erik & I) purchased Dry Creek Herb Farm during the summer of 2006. Our intention is to preserve the intent, integrity, and vision for the farm as created by Shatoiya and Rick De La Tour in 1988 – and enhanced by Susan A. Smith from 2000 until 2006. We have all remained dear friends throughout the years. The farm will continue to serve as a tool for healing and transformation. It is my intention that you experience the same quality of herbs and service that is the hallmark of Dry Creek Herb Farm.

We are a small family herb business – on 10 acres – near the town of Grass Valley, California. We live and work in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, about one hour east of Sacramento.

We both grew up in Northern California, steeped in farm and forest alike. I feel a special connection to the scent, shape, texture, color, and seasonal growth cycles of all things botanical. Simply, I love the world of herb-growing, harvesting, drying – and, the storage in glass jars for use in the depths of winter.

Please browse through our offerings, and know that each single plant or blend was chosen with meticulous attention to detail for quality. Our intention is to provide you with premium fresh dried, preferably locally-grown, organic/wild-gathered herbs and herb products. I purchase the herbs from West-coast growers and distributors; I only purchase from sources where I am satisfied that the products are laboratory tested, sampled, screened, analyzed, and lot recorded – and of course, free from irradiation, ozone, sulfur, gas, and chemical treatment.

I extend a special thank you to the spirit of Michael Moore for giving permission to use photos shown on his website. A special thank you as well to all those who generously shared their images with Wikipedia.
